This is a very cute shoe with overall good comfort except for some stiffness in the top of the shoe. It is versatile and the heel is very comfortable but the left shoe feels larger than the right.
Cute & comfy- Fantastic, cushy, cute, retro Mary Jane. I’m young & petite, but I have a wide foot with a high instep and ridiculously high arch, so when I read reviews about the strap being too long, I knew this shoe was for me. And I was right. Fits beautifully. PUMA Amoko 2 Shoes for Womens, Have never experienced so comfortable a shoe. (The “wide” is probably a D width.) Thank you, Sofft, for saving me from orthopedic clod-hoppers!
Unbelievably comfortable- These shoes made me believe that it is actually possible to be comfortable in a decent looking pair of shoes again. They offer such a cushiony bounce that they’re more comfortable than some of my running shoes. I’m on my feet for 30+ hours at the hospital sometimes, and these shoes carry me through. I have a fairly high instep which often causes problems with shoes, but while these are snug, they do not cut into the top of my foot as many shoes do. On one particular day, the inner corner (where the strap meets the shoe) managed to cut into my foot and make it bleed, but it’s never happened again so I assume something had just folded over oddly, and I won’t ding them on this. These, incidentally, are MUCH more comfortable than Sofft’s Blithe, which squish my toes and don’t offer nearly the same cushioning.
Very comfortable, not for me after a surgery. I had toe surgery and I have to wear wide, comfortable shoes. I couldn’t find 10.5 wide sizes. Size 11W was too big and 10 a little tight. But I am going to save them for later when more swelling goes away. Great looking!
Sofft, but not gentle. Well…it’s quite attractive for a functional shoe and it clearly is aspiring to be both. While I support its bid for the former (it is attractive in comparison to other “comfort” shoes) I have to reserve judgment on the latter. This shoe sits so tightly across the top of my foot that I’m going to have to have it stretched…extensively, to actually determine how “comfortable” it really is. The Beale is long enough, wide enough and offers great support and padding. That said, I can’t bear to be in it for more than an hour because the strap across the top (and the top inside edge of the toebox) feels like a noose choking the life out of my foot. Why not just return it? Because everything else about it actually works great for me and I think the problem is fixable. Leather can be stretched…so here’s hoping…
Please fix that strap!!! These shoes are fantastic in appearance and fit except for that strap! It is so long it sat up above my foot about an inch. If it had a working buckle and could be adjusted, these would be perfect shoes. Really cute and comfortable at the same time. I guess they would be great for somebody with a high instep.
Good Choice! Bought these for my daughter in college…she wore them to walk all day on campus and was very pleased how comfortable they were. She did say they were a little on the narrow side, but otherwise were a good choice, and very stylish. One thing to note, from the other reviews I ordered a half size larger, and for her it was a good fit.
